The Measure of Worth

Not in gold, nor wealth untold,
Nor in the praise the echoes hold,
But in the fire that burns inside,
Where truth and dignity reside.
No fleeting nod, no empty cheer,
Can shape the soul or make it clear.
For worth is not what hands bestow,
But what the heart already knows.
The tides may rise, the winds may change,
The world may judge, may praise, may blame,
Yet in the silence, strong and true,
Your value shines—unchanged, in you.
So stand, unshaken, proud, and free,
No mirror holds your destiny.
For what you own is not your grace,
It’s how you walk and hold your space.
