The Necessity of Joy

The Necessity of Joy

Life is fleeting, like a breeze,

Drifting softly through the trees.

Moments pass, the days unfold,

Too soon our stories all are told.

But why should life be solemn-faced,

A hurried march, a frantic chase?

Why not dance beneath the sun,

And let the world be filled with fun?

Laughter sparks like fireflies,

Glowing bright in weary skies.

A joke, a song, a joyful cheer,

Can turn the dullest day sincere.

For joy’s no prize we wait to find,

It lives within a playful mind.

A heart unburdened, light, and free,

Becomes a beacon—come, just be.

So take a breath, release the weight,

Life’s too short to sit and wait.

Embrace the moments, make them shine,

And let the world’s delight be thine.
